3 new movies to be shown on heels of Fajr Film Festival

Three new Iranian movies will be screened after Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Three latest Iranian films are set to be shown in the country's cinemas after Fajr Film Festival, spokesman for Iran Screening Guild Council says.

Gholam Reza Faraji was quoted by the media on Monday as saying that films with a screening license as well as those accepted for the Iran Cinema Perspective of Fajr Film Festival can be shown in Iranian cinemas, if the screening schedule for each movie is suggested in writing to the council.

The films to be screened include ‘Birthday Party’, ‘Mohey’ and ‘Shabash’ which the last one on the list will be featured when the screening of the first two ends.

The 35 edition of Fajr Film Festival will wrap up on February 10.

Fajr Festivals are held annually in Iran during the Fajr Decade (literally meaning ten days of dawn), which marks the anniversary of the ten days from the return of Imam Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic, to Iran until the victory day of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

The victory of the Islamic Revolution is annually celebrated during a 10-day period. This year, the period falls between January 31 and February 10.

Since its establishment, Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.

After the screening of these three movies, ‘Charmer’ by Hossein Tabrizi and 'The Good, The Bad and The Wired’ by Peyman Ghasemkhani will hit the big screen in Iran.
